You can use Bookmarks or Macros to do this.

A "sort of" bug I think.
when you type content: it starts searching through contents for a zero-length string, which is a redundant action, I think content: should be ignored if its parameter has no length, and only start looking when there is a parameter.

ok i downloaded and installed the full k lite codec
what do i do now to get everything index the videos cause after the installation doesnt seem to do anything new

The K-Lite installation doesn't have any direct influence on Everything.
It just installs in the OS the codecs for almost all todays ...

Currently, there are large delays for every page to load.
It happens with Firefox and MS Edge, so it's not browser related.
It was also the case yesterday.
No such problems with any other web pages.

after doing some research and testing
everything seems to read only MP4 videos and AVI for indexing
windows have details for those format

so is everything limited to read those videos format and index them
or i can do something to change it

What do you mean with "restoring them..."
Bookmarks are stored in Bookmarks.csv
Where they are stored in your system ?
It depends on portable or non-portable installation.
When they disappear, what is the content or is the file missing ?

Not using it, but I guess your server plugin runs under the System account
and therefore doesn't have any useful User variables.
Try to run it under a normal account.

If you had more, there is no need for any file content, as the name says it all

Using a structured tree, there is not really a need for longer names for single elements.

I have an XYplorer script to get the full GUI results into a XY paper folder.
There is also AHK scripts which do the same as file list for Total Commander and Free Commander.

Everything PDF preview is compatible with any previewer which works in Explorer preview.
I guess pdfescape doesn't have any Explorer preview function.
From their web page description, it's completely useless in this case.

I don't see such a problem here.
I can rename or delete .avi files in Everything or Explorer while they are selected in Everything
Furthermore, I guess there is some software running in the background monitoring AVI files.

No, you can also have the x86 version.

For me, .nfo files were not previewed by default in Explorer or Everything.
Running actual Windows 11.

The following works now
I used the PreviewHandlerEditor.exe
and added MSInfoFile to the Windows TXT Previewer

Windows has not (yet?) provided a command-line syntax to open a folder in a new tab.

There are alternatives. I think I once wrote something to force an existing Explorer to open a path in a tab.
With that, the process would be: Everything --> program --> Explorer tab.

A portable database makes no sense to me.
The content is never be the same for different Systems.
The size itself is never to be a problem for local storage, even for many files and large content indexing.

UPDATE

I just created a new blank Everything folder and tried running 1391, with absolutely nothing else in the folder, and I'm still getting the UAC.

That doesn't change anything if you don't use a portable version.
You have to remove the Everything ini file to get a fresh environment.

An Everything search is made up of search terms.

It should find all occurrences of the simple filename across the system.

It works perfect together with the portable Everything.
If you run Everything version 1.5 you have to set the instance name in the Toolbar settings
or disable the Alpha Instance in Everything settings.

WE are in a Windows environment, which clearly uses \ for paths.
There are enough other ways to escape some characters without changing fundamental things.

This means during the save command, they close the file for a few micro seconds.
In these micro seconds, it seems everything is interfering with the file and Solid Edge sees this as the file opened by another user or process.

Is there any option to prevent this?
