Most important is the "normal job" so we hope it all works out well.

wondering why search seemed to be limiting results i discovered the match case was stuck on and i could not turn it off.
other options i could turn on and off in the menu search, etc.
shut down everything and restarted, checked that in options, home that default settings were match case set to ...

I run Everything in my work laptop and i index a local state file server, and also two folders located on out hq servers over a internal lan, they are in other states. Our network is aust wide 10mbit total only for all traffic and i have not had any problems or affect on the networks ...

with Everything the NTFS drives can automatically enable and disable the index as these are available or not available.
However the folders listing to network shares seem to work differently.

Excellent reply except I already have done that! What i need is that toggle to NOT clear or destroy my currently active everything search! It used to have that action whether by design or settings, somehow that ability has been lost.

action of opening and searching in everything is excellent. use hotkey to toggle the window ie collapse to the taskbar then open it again with toggle view hot key and the window is a new search.
