Ok, my stupid mistake. It works.

I updated a previous 1.5.xxx version due "out of memory" issues.
There I selected the wrong plugin as you mentioned.

The other mentioned connection issue in prev version occurs when scanning is active; connection not possible; msg "sending query".

I'll try it.

But version 1.5.0.1338 has the embedded server; do not contain the plugin concept.
It worked for a while and stops now with same message "waiting for connection".

I have a problem to establish a connection to an ETP server.

Client 1.5.0.1363, running on Win10.
"Server" 1.5.0.1363 with plugin everything_server64 1.0.0.1 running on Win10. Firewall disabled. Tested the server side configuration on 2 different Win10 machines with same result.

There is a NAS with fileshare and an AD (user accounts).
Each client has mounted the fileshare to x:\.

Than there is a Windows VM hosting the Everthing solution like an server; 2 services - indexer and client (hosting the ETP).
At this host the fileshare is also mount as x:\ and use an AD ...

May there is a possibility to add user / pass of each network share

for scenarios where
Everything indexing and client installed as service on a server
(index a networkshare, provide an ETP server, local clients access the results {same mount drive name}).
