As everyone knows this is the fastest and best file search tool on the planet.
I have a gazillion files. And for filing purposes would be great if EVERYTHING could generate a WORD CLOUD (filtered) from it's database which would assist me tremendously to organise and file away.
eg.
- I search for files that contain the word MAGNESIUM (or search string)
- EVERYTHING lists all filenames containing the word MAGNESIUM
- An extra function of the EVERYTHING search would be to show a word cloud of all the filenames that contain the search word/string
This for me would be very helpful for quickly sorting and filing files into appropriate category folders.
Alternatively a word frequency table providing word statistics of the filenames would suffice if not a word cloud
Maybe it's just me, not sure if others would find this feature of any benefit.
Thank You
Feature Request - Word Cloud
Re: Feature Request - Word Cloud
Oh, you mean to search within a files contents.I search for files that contain the word MAGNESIUM (or search string)
Everything does not do that at all & I'm pretty sure that nothing like that is on any "todo" list.
Re: Feature Request - Word Cloud
No not at all. I don't want to search inside contents.
What i want is to generate a word cloud / word freq stats from all the words in the list of filenames that have the word eg. MAGNESIUM in the filename.
imagine.
1. i enter the word MAGNESIUM in Everything search bar.
2. Everything shows me the list of filenames that contain the word MAGNESIUM
3. From this list of filenames a word cloud (or word frequency) can be created

Please see:
View > Sort by > Run Count
File > Set Run Count...
It gives you options related to the frequency of opening folders and files.
Is this kind of what you were looking for?
