Removing files from a file list from the main window

Currently if i open a file list in the main window, the only way for me to remove some file from that list is to first open the file list editor, then load that same file list, then find the file i want to remove, and then i have to reload the main window. It would be really nice if there was a menu item in the main window to remove the selected file from the currently loaded file list.
