Hotkeys to open new tabs and windows; CTRL+T, CTRL+N, CTRL+W, CTRL+SHIFT+T
Remember SESSIONS; save opened tabs and windows and re-open them when restarting the program.
Bookmark search queries. Bookmark bar. Bookmark manager; import and export saved bookmarks.

other suggestions [optioned]:
prompt for re-scan for new files when inserting and removing new removable drive (do not auto re-scan) [optioned]
when removing removable drive, do not completely hide the files from that drive, instead, change their opacity to 50% or 25%, and when re-inserting drive, change the opacity back to 100% for existing files, and of course remove the missing files. [optioned]
when pressing CTRL+NUM+ fit columns wide enough so that the horizontal elevator is not shown, however allow making them wider by dragging them left and right with the cursor. [optioned]
allow other fonts to bet set, if possible, enable chrome-like font-smoothing. [optioned]
save settings to ftp server, google drive etc [optioned]
option to exclude all .lnk files (shortcuts) from Recent Places. valid for current system and systems of other partitions. [optioned]

Home could be used to remember a particular (one, not last) session, I would think

I think that's adjustable ? might find it in Everything.ini ?

Umm, thank you but these are only HALF OF WHAT I SUGGESTED, even though I already knew these options exist, except bookmarks, but, I asked to make them so much easier to use. I still would like my suggestions to be taken under consideration for the upcoming version/s because my ideas are so much different than what you provided!
I don't want your reply to look like it answered my question completely and that there's no need for further developing, because there is. I hope you understand my ideas/suggestions clearly... if not, one example of chrome-like functionality is Clover, check it out: http://ejie.me, and maybe you will be more clear as to what i mean by chrome functionality.
Also, DO NOT forget about the other half of ideas/suggestions I made that you didn't give solution to. I hope you comprehend. thank you!

I'm here because I tried Exclude to eliminate .lnk shortcuts, and couldn't get it to work.
Reading Help still works
In the search bar:
[ .exe !.lnk ]
To make that option "sticky" in Options, use *.lnk
Tools -> Options -> Exclude
Exclude files:
[*.lnk ]
