When I find and then delete .DS_Store nothing changes

In Everything (Version 1.3.4.686 (x64), Windows 10) I search for all instances of .ds_store. A list appears. I select them all and then use Shift+Del to delete them. Nothing changes. They're still there. View>Refresh just displays the same list. Is this an issue unique to this particular file or an expected behavior with Everything? Thank you.

There is nothing special about ".DS_Store".

But you could be running into, Display a message when files can't be deleted.
