%APPDATA% Not Indexing

Post by hairypaulsack »

Hello All!

Simply put, /AppData/ and sub folders appear to not be indexing. Is this by design or a limitation? Do I just need to add it to the list in options? I excluded all 3 of my windows OS's HDD's /Windows/ directories, but that doesn't have anything to do with AppData correct? Just wanted to know why or what's up. Find it odd that I couldn't find the answer to this question as I'm more than 99% sure someone else has previously encountered this same scenario.

Allow me to apologize if this has already been addressed as I do not like to take the time of a busy developer or a member of the community especially when a question has already been answered. I did do google searches and forum searches asking about the indexing of %APPDATA% or /AppData/ (mention this only because using the environment variable takes you into the Roaming sub folder for some unknown to me reason), but was unable to find the question due to extraneous posting regarding AppData; far too many posts for a quickly answered question IMO.

No reason %appdata% should not be seen.

%appdata% is outside of \Windows\, correct.

What specific search are you performing that is not returning results?
(/AppData/ itself is Hidden, so if you are excluding Hidden files. Not sure if that would also include excluding subdirectories/files to /AppData/ itself or not?)
