Hi,
Is there a way to prevent Everything indexes network drives at startup ?
Why this question ?
Because I have a lot of share folders with a lot of files/folders.
Index these files is very very very long (many hours) !
I want index NTFS/ReFS at startup (as at present), but indexing network shares just as planned (in Everything Folders tab) not at startup.
Not updating share folders on startup ?

Re: Not updating share folders on startup ?
I would like to do exactly the same thing.
Is it possible now?

Re: Not updating share folders on startup ?
Perhaps a 1 hour delay before updating folders from Everything startup?
Update folders manually:
Update folders manually:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Folders tab.
- For each folder:
- Check Never update.
- Click Update all now when you wish to update the folder indexes.

Hi,void wrote:Perhaps a 1 hour delay before updating folders from Everything startup?
Update folders manually:Clicking Update all now / Update now in the next beta update will update in the background.
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Folders tab.
- For each folder:
- Check Never update.
- Click Update all now when you wish to update the folder indexes.
A delay of 1 hour is better than configuring "never update" for each folder.
I need planning for each folder.
Thanks
Re: Not updating share folders on startup ?
why not just reindex the shared folders according to the selected timeframe.
e.g. update everyday at 8pm -> only re-index at 8pm and not at startup.

Reindex the shared folders only according to the selected timeframe.
And not do this at startup.
Can we configure like this?
Re: Not updating share folders on startup ?
Currently, no.
I'll consider adding an option to skip an update if it was missed.
