Did The Board Change, &sid=

Post by therube »

Did The Board Change, &sid= ?

Is a &sid= now used to track/keep login status?
If so, that is wrong.
If not, something is going on that is sure looking like that.

Problem is, any (existing) link - that does not have an (& I guess "valid") &sid= is treated as if you are not logged in.

So any (existing) pages that you open from (Mozilla) Session Restore, or I suppose even from a bookmark, won't have a (or might have a no longer valid) &sid=, act as if you are not logged in - even if you are. (A page refresh is ineffectual in changing the situation. Things like advanced search are not accessible.)

Sorry was playing with some phpbb http: https: settings, trying to get links to work correctly.

I'm guessing cookies are only saved if you are using the https protocol.
