1.4.1.877 x64 Global hotkey assignment not working

Just installed the 1.4.1.877 x64 version on a brand new Windows 10 HP laptop. Tried to change the hotkey from the default CTRL+N to ALT+E. Nothing happened. Shutdown Everything, restarted, no effect. CTRL+N also does not work. FYI.

Might the laptop itself be using Ctrl+N (or Alt+E) for some function, so is interfering with Everything?

(I'll assume you Applied the shortcut key changes after making them.)
