Hi
To ease use of the granular searching, it would be a nice option if you could right click the path column in the search results and auto add part or whole path to the current search filter.
I.E
child:mp3 would find all folders containing mp3, if one of the results path is:
"H:\Music\Music\New\Electronic\House\Infected Mushroom - Discography\Unreleased\Singles, EP, Promo"
Clicking on a path component could auto add filter of that path. something like what happens in total commander when you click on the path component you wish to go to.
In the above example, clicking on New - would add the filter "H:\Music\Music\New" to the search
Alternatively right clicking could suggest all possible filters to add,
I.E: right click path column ->Menu (add to filter...)->
H:
H:\Music
H:\Music\Music
H:\Music\Music\New
etc to the most bottom component...
(also maybe display the menu in reverse order child->parent)
Clicking/Right click on a path component in the search result allows to add to the filter
Re: Clicking/Right click on a path component in the search result allows to add to the filter
Just thought about an extension to this suggestion:
Right clicking on date columns (modified, accessed, created) could suggest a context of filtering before and after the date clicked, or possibly extract the "this" year/month/day time range and use that as filter, etc...
Could enhance the UI very dramatically (and easily?)...
