Prompt on Delete?

I consider myself of the power-user variety, and dialog boxes typically drive me crazy (I know what I'm doing, don't ask me if I'm sure!), but is it possible to have a prompt on delete option?

In many circumstances, I very much like the ability to delete WITHOUT prompting, but I also have noticed it's quite easy to do without noticing. If this was implemented, an easy way to toggle would be nice, e.g. on the delete dialog box itself perhaps there could also be a checkbox saying "ask again next time" or something to that effect.

I could certainly live without this feature, but just a suggestion.

I've also added to my TODO list: Everything should also use the same behavior as Windows Explorer when displaying prompts to nuke files.
