--(this is all super minor and i don't know whether it replicates in other areas of the GUI, but it happens in Organize Bookmarks and also Filters)
IF i'm in "Organize Bookmarks" and if the window size of that is horizontally smaller than content (so that a horizontal scroll bar appears),
-correction, this occurs regardless of window size/proportions- but only if the infotip is not over the list pane since clicking that does make it disappear.
THEN hovering mouse over the bookmarks list pane or scrollbar brings up the infotip "List of Bookmarks" with keyboard shortcut info.
PROBLEMitos:
a) it has a 30sec timeout
b) clicking on or around the infotip does nothing, so it can only be interrupted/disappeared by clicking an item in the bookmarks list pane (or..by taking a screen capture)
c) the infotip sometimes blocks the OK etc buttons
( Win10 ; Everything 1.4.1.912 (x64) )
In my situation:
- Moving the cursor out of the "box"/"pane"/button (where you activated the infotip) cancels the infotip / tooltip
- clicking somewhere on an empty spot in the listbox cancels the "List of bookmarks" infotip.
Does that behave differently in your situation?
BTW: Infotips are supposed to stay active for a long time; Tooltips should last about 5 sec9onds.
In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
/tooltips=0
Would increasing the delay of showing the tooltip help? eg: increase show tooltip delay to 3 seconds.
Everything tooltips are set to display forever. Would changing this to a shorter time help?
Would moving the tooltip position to under the buttons help?
Moving the mouse over the tooltip should be hiding it.
FWIW: here are Microsoft's guidelines for tooltps and infotips. It seems Everything follows them quite closely.
(Not that those are laws or anything; common sense and practicality are a factor too)
