first of all i'd like to say that its very hard to keep track of the build/version of everything. until today i had no idea that there was version 452a. i had been using 385..you should really make use of the auto update function
anyways why have I checked the forums, well its because of my usb drive. prior to today i had not cared for searching through the usb drive. but it was getting hard to keep track of files (files in flash disk, files at work, files at home etc..) so i bought a 500gb samsung s2 external hard disk and decided to put everything in it
and then began asking questions as to why my current 385 build isn't able to search the usb.
tried 451a, 452a, deleted the db file several times, started with -debug. (I need to check disk on other drives)
anyways my usb drives are not indexed. not even my usb flash disks. I checked the "auto include new removable volumes" as well.
I'm on Windows 7 32 bit. enabled "better performance" under the write caching properties for my samsung s2.
if its a settings issue, here is my ini file.. samsung usb is G: drive which is not there. I even exited everything and manually entered ;G:: in there but didn't work..
what could be the issue?
