Missing folder

One of my folders seem to be missing from Everything(1.2.1.371). I get this message when I try to index the drive(G:):

"The file or directory G:\$MapAttributeValue is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility."

I have done chkdsk, /f and /r. That didn't seem to help. I'm only trying to save a list of the drive files/folders/structure before I format it. Is there any way to force Everything to index a folder even if some files in it are corrupted?

"Everything" is most likely excluding this folder because it can not find its parent file reference number (FRN).

Please try the following:

• Make a new folder G:\New
• Move all files in G:\$MapAttributeValue to G:\New
• Delete G:\$MapAttributeValue
• Rename G:\New to G:\$MapAttributeValue

I just did some searching and found this quote:

With very few exceptions, anything with the "$" in front of it has to do with the Master File Table, the area of the drive that used to be called the Partition Table in older operating systems. It is the very heart of the NTFS file system, so if you're having issues with it, then it is time for a reformat since something has been done to corrupt it.

It looks like nothing can be done about this problem. I'll just do a "dir >> files.txt" to save the file structure.

I was wondering if it might not be a harbinger of a HDD problem?
Or would it be something CHKDSK could fix?

"Everything" will also exclude the following folders:
$RmMetadata\$TxfLog
$RmMetadata\$Txf
$RmMetadata

"Everything" will also exclude the following files:
$RmMetadata\$Repair
$RmMetadata\$TxfLog\$Tops
$RmMetadata\$TxfLog\$TxfLog.blf
$RmMetadata\$TxfLog\$TxfLogContainer0000000000000000000X
