How to calculate the number of sentences in the text?

Console utilities includes count which includes sentences in its count.

Is this a console tool that requires commands to be used, or is there something about the GUI?

View->Summary --> displays Characters, Words & Lines.

There is a plugin for Word Count.

MS-Word displays word count.

They are not testing 'Sentence', rather using Line count. But Console utilities listed Sentence count. (ty @therube for the link)

There are various counters in the editors, but they certainly do not count sentences.
