So I typically never use Recycle Bin

So I typically never use Recycle Bin.
Most almost always delete directly.

Put in a new drive, & I think... eh, instead of "hard" deleting, I use Recycle Bin, for a bit.

And I go on my merry way, deleting way.
Here a file, there a file, everywhere a file file.

And I get to this file, & I hit DEL.
And nothing.
Hit it again, thinking I missed it.
Nothing.
Hit the file above it.
Deletes.
Hit my wanted file.
Nothing.

And I'm like, huh?

Then I think... I wonder...

So I copy the full path+name, & it so happens to be, exactly 260 characters in length.
And then I think... but... Everything, generally bypasses that nonsense!?
So I delete 1 character, hit DEL, & it says, "Are you sure you want to move this file to the Recycle Bin?".

Windows (7 in my case), once again trumped up - by itself. 260.

Normally Everything will move the file to the recycle bin (not delete the file).
This is managed by the OS and is limited to 259 characters.

Everything will only bypass the 259 character limit if you permanently delete a single file.

You can permanently delete a file by:

• Pressing Shift + Delete
• Holding Shift, right click -> click Delete.

(Ah yes. Forgot to mention, Shift+DEL, so bypassing Recycle Bin, is not encumbered by such nonsense.)
