can't find when folder name has some symbol
Re: can't find when folder name has some symbol
This is a shot in the dark, but it might be a lucky one (I can't read/speak Japanese; just trying to help ...)
That looks like Japanese to me.
Some (software) keyboard input methods use multiple keys to specify one single character (wide character, muli-byte characetr or whatever it is called). Chinese and Japanese for example.
It could be that when you type a "0" (zero), it is waiting for the next key to create the character (notice that things go already off the rails when you type the first zero)
When on Win10, you can search for input method in the settings and try it with the English (or US) keyboard layout to see if that will find your files.
What version of Everything and Windows are you using?

Re: can't find when folder name has some symbol
win10 x64 1809
everything x64 1.4.1.1002
you can create a folder, copy and paste the name to try, or plus a space to try
DANDY-060「路線バスで美淑女の尻に勃起チ○ポを擦りつけたらヤられるか?」 VOL.1
「」this symbol in Japanese is as the same as " " in English, but my win10 and everything are using Chinese version, only the folder name is Japanese.
you can see the gif there is no search result suddenly when i typed the first 0, "dandy-0", only when type or paste "dandy-" , it displayed the result i want.

Re: can't find when folder name has some symbol
Here is what happens on my Win10 system (with US International keyboard layout) and Everything 1.4.1.1000 (x64) :
(typing extra slow, so you can follow the highlighted part (bold) in the resultlist)

Re: can't find when folder name has some symbol
it seems yours are OK, but i'm with US International keyboard layout too, get different result with yours
and i typed slow find it's strange when i typed to "dand", there is no result, but "dandy", result came.

Re: can't find when folder name has some symbol
Please make sure match whole words is disabled from the Search menu.
Everything currently does not treat the Ideographic Space (U+3000) as a word separator.
This will be fixed in the next major update.

Re: can't find when folder name has some symbol
