You likely have Match Case enabled (Menu:Search > Match Case )

When that is enabled, Everything will do a case-sensitive search:
- Searching for UPPER will find UPPER, but not Upper or upper
- Searching for lower will find lower, but not Lower or LOWER

Just uncheck the Match Case setting and searching for UPPER will find UPPER, as well as Upper and upper

Sounds like you have regex enabled.

Please make sure Regex is unchecked under the Search menu.

I think I fixed it, I had to click Search - Advanced Search, then untick all Match Case tickboxes, then it started working OK in the simple search after that

It's sorted now, had to click advanced search then untick all match cases, then simple search worked fine after, maybe it's just the first time you use the program you have to do that
