Visual indicator to differentiate rows

Love this app! Wishing there was a feature that would make it easy for me to differentiate between rows.

For example: if I want to open the folder that has Date Modified "08/22/2020 08:47 AM", I find it hard to accurately line up with my eyes the correct row in the Name column with the desired date in the Date Modified column.

I need to rearrange columns and sometimes column widths:

For me, it would be helpful to have a visual indicator that makes it clear which column entries belong to which row e.g. a grid or alternating row colors or lines (not my preference, but was easiest example to create):

Please try enabling alternate row colors:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the View tab on the left.
  • Check Alternate row color.
  • Click OK.
To customize the alternate row color:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Fonts and Colors tab on the left.
  • Select Alternate Row.
  • Click the color button to the right of Background color.
  • Choose a new color and click OK.
  • Click OK.
Please consider enabling full row select:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the UI tab on the left.
  • Check Full row select.
  • Click OK.
Please consider enabling show row mouseover:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the View tab on the left.
  • Check Show row mouseover.
  • Click OK.

To customize the row mouseover color:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Fonts and Colors tab on the left.
  • Select Mouseover.
  • Click the color button to the right of Background color.
  • Choose a new color and click OK.
  • Click OK.
