File & Folder_Duplication on every drive ?

Post by Flourgrader »

Hi Guys,
I am running Everything-1.5.0.1238a.x64-Setup.exe
I have it installed and it has all of my computer drives indexed.
I see that it is duplicating all my files and folders, so I have 2 of each when there should only be one.
I could not find the answer so I uninstalled the software.
Re_booted the PC and re installed the software.
I still have got the same problem!
Is there a setting in the options to turn on or off to fix this?
I attached a pic to my post for clarification.
Thanks Guys.

NTFS volumes are automatically indexed by "Everything".

Adding a NTFS volume as a folder index will show duplicated results.

Please remove any NTFS volumes from your folder indexes:
  • In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Folders tab.
  • Select any NTFS volumes and click Remove.
  • Click OK.

To check which NTFS volumes are automatically included:
  • In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab.
  • NTFS volumes that have Include in database checked are already included as a NTFS index.
