save settings to everything folder

Post by harryray2 »

I currently have Everything in my programmes folder and the settings inn my appdata roaming folder.

I would like all the settings to be in my programmes folder...I tried unchecking the "store settings and data" box in options but I get an error message telling me that the data can't be saved and would I like to save setting in %appdata%

How do I get the settings to save in the same folder as Everything.exe?

Thanks.

Store your Everything.exe in a folder that has write permissions for a standard user.

Writing to C:\Program Files\Everything will require administrative privileges.

Please try storing your Everything.exe in the following folder:
C:\Everything
-or-
C:\Programs\Everything

You programmes folder is write protected.
You have to use the portable version and copy this into a dir where you have write access.
Then all files and setting will be in this tree.
