Re: Features
Thank you for your suggestions Mragon,
I will consider an option to show Everything search results from common edit controls.
Some file managers already support Everything (for example Total Commander)

Re: Features
thanx,
hope this helps
instant search / find as u type:-
This feature is designed to recognize suffixes, prefixes, or any part of the item’s name, which means when you begin typing a file name, the results are instantly shown next to the search box. This comes incredibly useful when performing some guess work in order to reach your desired item by typing a few alphabets related to its name. Hence, multiple results start appearing at the exact moment when you start punching keys on your keyboard – all in real time. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select an item from the displayed results. This feature works both under the file managers and open/save file dialogs.
integration:-
can u please add support for [xplorer2 / xyplorer / directory opus / q-dir]
Regards
Mragon

Re: Features
@Mragon: take a look at Listary.
Development has halted, but version 5 should still work.

Re: Features
thanx for the tip.
i know about Listary "am using v5".
but Listary dev is not responding to the emails & not updating the app for over a year, and no response from Channing
that's why am looking for a better alternative
and EVERYTHING SEEMS TO HAVE IT ALL

Re: Features
Recently the alpha version of Everything 1.5 was released. That took years of work and will take a lot more work (see the to-do list to get an impression).
Adding Listary-like launcher functionality is an entirely different program.
I am not the developer of Everything, but my very optimistic estimation: Ask again in about a year or two.
But probably longer ..

Re: Features
The Everything toolbar may be an Listary launcher replacement.
It searches with Everything and you can define by regulare expressions
which program should be startet depending on the results extension.
You can define addional context menu entries for all search results.
As long as your favorite tool can be started with command line arguments it can be used.
Query input is in a field on the taskbar so there is no Everything window needed for input and selection.
A dark mode is available among others.
In short I like it

Re: Features
hope void can add this feature "it's an amazing feature"
Re: Features
There are quite a few alternative launchers that use Everything to search for files (listed here).
None of them are as sophisticated as Listary (imo), but maybe you like one of them.
(Check Fluent Search first)

Re: Features
Hi NotNull
thx
i know about these launchers.
Currently only Listary & Fluent Search has this feature;
but sadly listary is no longer being developed
&
fluent search is still in beta and according to the dev, it needs till the end of the year to start having stable versions.
and since Everything has all the features that i need; why not having: FIND AS YOU TYPE

this way, EVERYTHING will be the only tool that i use
