No, "Everything" only indexes local or removable NTFS volumes.

To search a networked computer you will need to run Everything on both computers.
One computer will need to Start an ETP server.
The other computer will need to connect to that ETP server.

To start an ETP server:
1. In Everything, On the Tools menu, click Start ETP server.

To connect to an ETP server:
1. In Everything, On the Tools menu, click Connect to ETP Server....
2. Type in the ETP server name.
3. Type in the ETP server port.
4. Type in the ETP server user.
5. Type in the ETP server password.

I've actually started the ETP server on both systems but when I go to connect I'm a bit confused. What is the
1 ETP server name - where do I find this or how do I establish it?
2 What port is the ETP server using? How do I determine this?
3 What is the ETP server user, how do I determine this?
4 What is the ETP server password?

You set all of these options in the menu on each server (except the server name which can be the server's ip address)

I'm sorry but I was not clear. I saw the window you referenced but I don't know what values to put in each of the sections (this is what I was asking for, not where do I insert the values). How does the userneame get created, etc? I could not find anything in the help about this. When I started the ETP server there were no prompts to establish a username, etc. Sorry for the dumb user questions but I need the super detail directions.

You stated that the server name can be the server's IP address, is this the IP address of my PC? Currently I do not use a static address, I assume this would be the best option.

I have exactly the same problem and haven't found information neither so here am I.

Please, please, please. Would you, Daniel (or any advanced user) provide one or two examples on how to fill those fields?. Both on the server and client sides, of course.

Should we better use a different port?. Any recommendation?
What is exactly the syntax of the path pointing to the remote machine?
Is it necessary to include the machine name at the username field?
Is it essential to use a username / password?

BTW: I'm using Everything 1.2.1.371 on Win7 64bit

Ok, I've got it!. It's necessary to use the IP in the Host field.

A suggestion: To add a list of most used Hosts. In a few words: A list of favourites.

You'll need to know the IP address on the computer that has the ETP Server running on it that you want to connect to. (something like: 192.168.1.50 on a local network)
You can discover this by doing the following:
Start - Run - type "cmd.exe" and press enter. Then in the command prompt window, type "ipconfig" It will list the IP address there.

You also will need to make sure the windows firewall will allow that port through. I'm not going to recommend turning the firewall off, but that would be the easiest way (at least to try this out)

Then go back to the computer that has the ETP server running on it, and type in the IP address (something like 192.168.1.50) in the Host field along with whatever port, username, and password you chose.

But really, if you can't figure this out, you should probably just use the web server instead.
