Hi,
I am using Everything Alpha 1.5.
I am sure this question must have been asked many times on the forum.
But I did not find it on the forum Search.
So, apologies if I missed it!
I have zillions of *.txt *.doc *.rtf *.xlsm, and so on.
I would like to be able to search
Inside the content of the file for set words or phrases.
I would not be wanting to scan inside files that could not possibly hold text.
Like video files, picture files, and so on.
So, my question is:
Is it possible to state what type of file you want to search for?
And for what content is, inside that file,
may it be a single word or a phrase?
Thank You.

Re: Search_Inside_files_for_words_or_phrases ?
As you are using Everything 1.5 (I hope the x64 version)
you should configure Content indexing.
Change field "Include only folders" with your folders to index
and the field "Include only files" with the file types you want to index.
Then you can later find anything fast with
content:your_word_or_phrase_here
