Hi, I use Everything for personal and business purposes on the same PC and would therefore like to know if it is possible to have multiple instances of Everythings; I mean with two different databases and indexed folders so as to have separate search results.
Thanks for your help
Multiple Instances
Re: Multiple Instances
You can create a second (or more) 'instance'..This should do what you're looking for.

Re: Multiple Instances
Hi, many thanks, it seems exactly what I was looking for!
Regarding the configuration file "Everithing.ini" of the new instance, where it is located?
In the usual directory "c\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Everything\" I can see only "Everithing.ini", so where can I find the new one for the second instance I created [Called Everything (Works)] ? "Everithing.ini" remains the same for all instances?
Thanks

Re: Multiple Instances
Each instance has its own ini.
I like to make Everything completely portable so that it's easy to backup.
To keep the ini file in the same directory as all the other files go to options>general>store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything and uncheck the box.
The ini file will have the name you chose for the instance, such as, Everything-example.ini.
