How to use Everything 1.5 with TotalCommander

Post by data »

Hi

Since I installed version 1.5 exclusively, Total Commander no longer uses 'Everything' in the search.
As soon as I select Everything, I am offered an installation.

How can I use the V1.5 in TC?

Thanxs

Two possible solutions
I prefer the first as it also allows the Everything toolbar to work.

Add
alpha_instance=0
to your Everything.ini file.
and add the path to Everything64.exe into your wincmd.ini, my entry is:
Everything=C:\Tools\Everything\Everything64.exe

or

Add the following into your wincmd.ini
UseEverythingInstance=1.5a

Thank you for the quick solution.

After a short consideration, the "C:\Program Files\Everything 1.5a\Everything-1.5a.ini" is meant for sure. So in the default installation path.

Now its working great again :lol:

Yes, that is correct as long as you don't use the method of not having the alpha suffix on all files.
If you have a file NO_ALPHA_INSTANCE with no extension in your Everything dir
all config files (*.ini and *.csv) no longer use a -1.5a suffix.
I prefer this.
