How to have just one folder indexed inside an entire disk?

Post by Gabarito »

I'm trying to do a very basic task, but I don't know how.
Maybe you gurus can point me a direction.

I'd like to have a custom database to index only one folder at my disk and exclude all the others.

If I put C:, D:, E:,... to "Exclude folders" and put "D:\My custom folder" to "Folders" tab, Everything overwrites (ignores) it and exclude all D: disk, as requested at "Exclude folders" tab.

So, how to have just one folder indexed inside an entire disk? And exclude all the other ones?

Tools | Options | Indexes -> NTFS
for C: D: E:..., uncheck 'Include in database'.

Tools | Options | Indexes -> Folders
Add... D:\My custom folder
