Everything is not be resident after the Windows startup

Post by genepine »

Hello Thanks build awesome tools.

Windows 10 Pro 19043 build 19043
Everything Ver 1.1.1009(x64)

The "Everything(ET)" is set to be resident immediately after it is Windows startup. But the ET is not resident.
If I start it manually, the UAC warning screen will be displayed.
Is there anything else I should set?
The settings are as shown in the image.
Start Everyhing on system startup
Run as administrator
Run in background

Thank you for your feedback.

Running Everything as an administrator will most likely prevent Everything running on startup.

Please try running Everything as a standard user:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab on the left.
  • Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything
  • Uncheck Run as administrator.
  • Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
  • Click OK.
  • Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
  • Restart Everything.
Please make sure Run in background is enabled:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the UI tab on the left.
  • Check Run in background.
  • Click OK.
Does Everything now start on system startup?

Hello
Thanks so quick reply.

I follow your settings, and I re-checked Everything program properties.
I made a mistake that checked "Run as Administrator" at for all users. :!:

I had the opportunity to review the settings. Thank you. :D
