Should Multi-Rename notify of > 255 character input?
should Multi-Rename be aware of, notify
"A file name can't contain more then 255 characters."
(i.e., a tooltip, like single file rename - perhaps tooltip wouldn't be appropriate) ?
- or maybe just a "chars" count /display/ if you're running > 255
(even if your "current" input exceeds 255, you still might want that, knowing that you haven't finished editing the rename, & that the end result would be < 256, but knowing "where" 255 is could help.)
not sure ? given that on attempted OK, you'll find out then, in any case.
i guess not, cause there could be some files that will rename (as they could end up < 256) & others that won't.
so having a tooltip wouldn't really be appropriate?
