Always switches back to sort by name instead of by date?

I want it to sort by date by defalut but it always switches back to sort by name. I saved my settings but didn't see one specific to this? Thanks.

If you click the Date Modified column, then Quit Everything, on restart it is not sorted by Date Modified?

Oh, there it is.
Check; Tools | Options | General -> Home --> Sort: Date Modified (Descending) + Apply

Everything will revert to sorting by an attribute that is already indexed. Otherwise sorting will be very slow.

To check if your date ... (modified/created/accessed) is indexed:
- Go to Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes
- Enable Index date ...
- Enable Fast date ... sort

Appreciate these replies. I seem to be getting back to the right way. I started to use a new large hard drive. Maybe that threw it off? It's ex-fat. I'll check it again tomorrow after restart. Thanks.
