Drag and Drop .Lnk vs symbolic folders in Everything searchbar

Dragging a .Lnk shortcut of a folder to everything search bar (from explorer window), shows the folders items the .Lnk file is pointing to. As if an actual folder was dragged there.

Doing the same thing (dragging a sysmlink file that points to a folder to the searchbar) shows 0 items in results pane. Everything doesnt seem to resolve to the path the .sysmlink file is pointing to?

Any chance I can get .sysmlink drag and drop to searchbar to be treated the same as .Lnk shortcuts? Thanks!

I will consider resolving drag-dropped symbolic links targets.

One option is to add the folder junction to your Everything index:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the NTFS tab on the left.
• Right click on an empty spot in the NTFS volume list and click Add....
• Click Select... to the right of GUID.
• Select the drive containing the folder target and click OK.
• Change the Path to the folder junction path, for example:
  C:\mnt\My Folder Junction
• Change the Root to the real folder path, for example:
  windows\system32
  (leave out the volume root part, eg: C:\)
• Click OK.
