Offline Network Folders Handling

First of all, thank you for this awesome software.

I am having some problems with Indexes>Folders in the newest alpha.

I have a few folders added on Network Shares (\\Servername\Folder\Subfolder).
Up until version 1315a it did not matter if the server being indexed was online or offline - offline folders just sat in the background and timed out without stopping Everything from working.
I tried 1318a and 1319a, and Everything just starts up with "Loading..." in the taskbar and nothing happens. It's waiting forever on these shares that are down.

Is there a switch in config that can enable the old behaviour?

I am having trouble producing the issue my end.

Could you please send me a mini-crash dump?

• Start up Everything and make sure it is stuck showing Loading... in the status bar.
• Download Process Explorer from Microsoft:
  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer
• In Process Explorer, select Everything.exe (If there is two, select the one using the most memory)
• Right click Everything.exe and under Create Dump, select Create Mini Dump.
• Choose a filename and click Save.
• Please send this file to support@voidtools.com

Thank you for the crash dump.

Everything is trying to lookup the volume name for the offline remote folder.

I am working on a fix.
I will make a post here once this is ready.

The lookup is different in 1315a - just reverted to 1315a again and the issue is gone.

Yes, 1315a and earlier will avoid looking up volume names from remote volumes.

I will have a fix soon.

Everything 1.5.0.1320a will no longer lookup volume names for remote volumes.
