Audio Filter doesn't contain SHN
SHN is the main lossless compression music format that preceded FLAC, hence there are still a lot of SHN files in existence.

To add shn files to your Audio filter:

- In Everything, from the Search menu, click Organize filters.
- Select Audio and click Edit....
- Change the Search to:
Code: Select all
ext:aac;ac3;aif;aifc;aiff;amr;ape;au;cda;dts;fla;flac;it;m1a;m2a;m3u;m4a;m4b;m4p;mid;midi;mka;mod;mp2;mp3;mpa;mpc;ogg;opus;ra;rmi;snd;spc;voc;wav;weba;wma;xm;shn
- Click OK.
- Click OK.

SHNs are widely used in the live music trading community from 15-20 years ago but because FLACs are only slightly better many people have no bothered to re-encoded them, so they are still traded. As well, many have been burned to DVDs as during that period of time, DVDs were the way to go for storage.. so if someone wants to reupload one, he would just grab the SHNs from the DVD.
