Are you saying you want a context-menu item, or you don't want any menu item at all, & the right-click action would (silently) copy the path to clipboard?

(You can set a hotkey to Copy Path. I use F5.)

i apologize . i only now learned right-click on name presents a context menu w/ copy path to clipboard option . this is sufficient for my needs . previously i right-clicked on path assuming this is where the option to copy the path would reside . once again i thank you and apologize

To copy just the Path of a single file folder (without the Name part):

- Right-click in the Path column
- Select Copy Path from the context menu.

To copy the Path of multiple files/folders:

- Go to menu:Tools > Options > General > Context Menu
- From the Context menu items:, select Copy Path
- Settings for Copy Path context menu item = Show this item
- OK

- Select your files/folders in the resultlist
- menu:File > Copy Path

(this method can also be used for a single item)

That explains it: you are running Everything 1.4.

As you posted in the Everything 1.5 forum, I assumed you were running 1.5.

1.4.1.1022 is the latest stable release.

Please consider the following:

Show the Copy Path to clipboard context menu item:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Context Menu tab on the left.
  • Select Copy Path to Clipboard
  • Check Show this item.
  • Click OK.
  • The "Copy Path to clipboard" context menu item is shown when clicking the item (not the path column)

Enable full row select:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the UI tab on the left.
  • Check Full row select.
  • Click OK.

To open the path with a double click in the path column:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the results tab on the left.
  • Check Open path with a double click in path column.
  • Click OK.
