How to omit results of large number of files?

Post by anmac1789 »

How can I use Temporary Result omission for 28,598 files? Whenever I exclude this large amount of data, everything freezes and crashes. Is there a hard-coded limit ?

No hard coded limit. Or if there is, it is much higher than 28K

Are you trying to Temporary-omit files/folders through the context menu?
It will take quite a while to 'build' the context menu for that many files.
Does your "crash" happen before or after the context menu is shown?

Anyway, an altrnative:
  • Select all your 28K files
  • From the menu, select File => Temporary Omit
This should respond without any significant timeout or crashing.

I did not see the omit results in the file section perhaps this is what I missed. Thank you & yes I was using the context menu to omit results which took extremely long
