I do not see "Organize Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu

I do not see "Organize Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.
Ctrl+Shift+B does bring up what I suspect is the required screen.

I suspect this needs only an edit to your original post (above) unless you are still in conflict over "Organize" vs. "Show"
"Show" to me suggests a read-only pane of data.

Moved from Searching.

The Bookmarks dialog has changed a little since Everything 1.5 was first released.

Organize Bookmarks was renamed to Show All Bookmarks.

The default action in the Bookmarks dialog is open.

Ctrl + B will show the Select Bookmark dialog which is read-only.

Mmm, that's what it looks like to me (portable version & Everything 1.5.0.1342a (x64) - (1.5a) portable).

The Organize Bookmarks text is probably from an old Everything.lng

Try deleting your Everything.lng file in the same location as your Everything.exe and restarting Everything.

Ah thanks! That's the trick! :)
I have downloaded the old language files from the download page from time to time.

No Kidding!

My latest installation was as pure as the driven snow as I could make it, although I had made multiple installations in the past. Void's comment about deleting *.lng made me use everything to locate Everything.lng, which turned up seven objects, one of them a LNK.

\Admin\rebuild" is where I create a new folder for each re-build of Windows; I am on my seventy-seventh right now (Hence the laptop is "H{P15_077 and the user is Chris077).
I daresay that if I binary-compared the six files they would be identical in content, since, to the best of my knowledge, I have not installed in an alternate language.

That didn't stop me appending "Content:organize" and "Content:show" to the search string; turned up nothing!
Then I remembered that the lng is an encoded file. Hmmph!
Still, I reasoned, each collection of eight bits must appear as a character of some sort.

So then I tried "content:e", "content:a", "content:1", "content:2", "content:3", and so on, Still nothing!

Which led me to suppose that Everything 1.5a was smart enough NOT to examine binary, "encoded" files for content, but to examine ONLY document files (as in View, Filter).

Which, somehow, reinforces my understanding of Everything.

Unfortunately, I had forgotten to take a few facts into account in this topic:
  1. The English language ("translation") is already included in the file "Everything64.exe" or "Everything.exe" in Everything 1.5a.
  2. For other languages there is currently no translation for Everything 1.5a.
  3. For the home language (not English) I think it is even recommended to use the file "Everything.lng" in a separate Everything 1.5a instance.
The terms in the home language (e.g. German) can often help when participating in a forum post in another forum in the home language.

Thanks Tuska. In an earlier Post/PM/Email I think I indicated that I do not plan to delve into languages at this stage. In this topic i was just curious, using Everything as a minute-by-minute ever-present tool to "see what's going on".
As far as those *.LNG on my laptop go, since the English language is hard-wired into Everything (all versions), If I wanted to i could delete all my *.lng with impunity, since they, and the EXE/ZIP files from which they sprang, are all spinning around on my cumulative backup disk.
Thanks again, Chris
