Chrome showing wrong logo
While running Tor (with it HTTP-tunnel) and using Thunderbird email-program to sign in to Yahoo (some OAuth stuff),
Chrome showed the logo (favion.ico?) of EveryThing !!
How is this possible? I did not enable the HTTP-server in EveryThing, but only the EFTP server

Re: Chrome showing wrong logo
Is this consistent, all the time, every day for weeks? Or do you just have a screwy icon cache today?
Can you reboot and try to reproduce?

Happened only once.

Did or do you run the Everything HTTP-Server on port 80?
(Menu:Tools > Options > HTTP Server)
(Menu:Tools > Options > HTTP Server)
Re: Chrome showing wrong logo
It could also be a bookmarked or browser cached favicon from a previous use of the HTTP-Server days or months ago, being associated to all ''localhost'' addresses until another favicon were to replace it. So it might remain there for some time until you delete the bookmark or clear the cache.
Re: Chrome showing wrong logo
This is likely some old cache of the Everything icon for localhost from the Everything HTTP server.
On the localhost page, click and hold down the refresh button and then click Empty cache and hard reload.

Seems plausible since I have briefly used the HTTP-server some time ago.

(Oddly, at some point, my Double Commander taskbar icon turned into an Everything icon.
I'm not really concerned about that. Been kind of, but not too much, messing with DC & Free Commander, & have had both open for... since the 24th, March.
[I have nothing "http" on my end.])

Strange..
Not sure how the program window icon differs to the taskbar icon..
They usually share the same icon.
Apparently the icon cache is also shared with shortcuts under the start menu.
Are there any Everything icons in the start menu?
There might be an issue where both programs share the same debug console.
Did you ever use the debug console in Everything?
Did you launch the programs from a bat file?
Is there a shortcut to this bat file that has a custom icon?

Re: Chrome showing wrong logo
And this morning, after a weekend of sleep, its' reverted itself to what it should be - with no changes done (like opening or closing or even interacting with the program) whatsoever.

Everything is not in my start menu. Are there any Everything icons in the start menu?
Of course. (In the past month? Can't say that I recall, particularly.)Did you ever use the debug console in Everything?
Seems I launched the .exe directly - from within Salamander. (Salamander is the parent process.)Did you launch the programs from a bat file?
Is there a shortcut to this bat file that has a custom icon?
Re: Chrome showing wrong logo
Another oddity.
.
Windows Explorer, & Taskbar show correct icon.
At some point, somewhere along the line, the icon in Everything, changed.
(And not that I'm concerned.
And yes, an old version of Everything, open since, 2 months ago (12:24:58 PM 02/16/2023).
And since you're curious, Uptime: 59 days 20 hours 31 minutes 15 seconds.)

Does pressing F5 refresh the image?
Sounds like the system imagelist for Everything is corrupted somehow.
