Bring up UI with single click of system tray icon.
Bring up UI with single click of system tray icon.
Please provide a option to bring up the UI with a single click of the system tray icon. Right now, afaik, it needs a double click. Thanks, nice prog.
Re: Bring up UI with single click of system tray icon.
You can open Everything with a single click from the system tray icon with the latest beta.
To enable opening an Everything window with a single click from the system tray:
To enable opening an Everything window with a single click from the system tray:

Re: Bring up UI with single click of system tray icon.
OK, thanks.
Using Everything-1.3.2.643b.zip, single-click works. If it is not too much trouble, could you provide the 'reverse' too : if the window is open, it should close when the tray icon is clicked.
Please confirm the portable version is truely portable ( no files/directories created out of the install directory, no reg entries created ). And, is it OK to use '.' (no quotes) as the database location in Options->Indexes ? That is, if I move the install directory, Everything will still use the same db from the moved location. I guess what I'm asking is 'are relative paths allowed ?' .

I will reconsider this option. If it is not too much trouble, could you provide the 'reverse' too : if the window is open, it should close when the tray icon is clicked.
Yes, Everything will not modify the system in anyway (unless you modify any of the settings in Tools -> Options -> General). Please confirm the portable version is truely portable
By default Everything will store the Everything.db file in the same location as your Everything.exe.
Yes, if you keep the Everything.exe and the Everything.db file together. That is, if I move the install directory, Everything will still use the same db from the moved location.
Yes, however, they are not relative to the current working directory, they are instead relative to your Everything.exe file.I guess what I'm asking is 'are relative paths allowed ?'
