Rescan options for On/Offline volumes

I am working my way through eleven media, each of which is transient/Removable-by-me.
My nightly backup (Y: drive) is Veracrypted formatted NTFS.
I plugged it in around 1645 (earlier than usual), mounted it, and ran the backup. To my delight a specific file
ext:doc \greaves\training\everything\tutorial TransientMedia
shows in the Result List for both the T: and the Y: and dexterous use of the On:Line: and Offline filters.
So far, so good.
I decided to mount both my nightly Y drive and my weekly Z drive. For some reason I Veracrypted Z: as FAT, but it is beneficial in this study to have one drive NTFS and one FAT as I explore this world.

I am now focused on the "RESCAN" options.
"Every Day" at HH am/pm, and Every x hours, and Never, are all inappropriate for me. I mount the backup drives anytime between 5pm and 8pm.

Rescan on Full Buffer held promise, but then on my weekly drive, I suspect that the buffer would fill every ten seconds or so, and I don't want to rescan every ten seconds. Nor do I want NOT to rescan on the last partial buffer.

Of course I want an option that reads "Rescan once the backup is completed and before the drive is dis-mounted", so I suspect that will be a command-line run of Everything from my batch file, once I have RobCopied every file to where it should be copied, and before I call up Veracrypt to dismount the drives.

This would work because these two backup drives are always mounted and dismounted from the batch file.

How will I cope with CD/DVD disks, USB memory keys, and SDCards and adapters that are inserted and removed manually? Will Everything keep its databases up to date in real time, so that when I remove those media I do not need a rescan?

Thanks, Chris

Everything will automatically rescan your device when inserted if the last scheduled rescan was missed.

Everything will monitor changes to the device while it is online.

There shouldn't be any need to perform a manual rescan.

If you do wish to perform a manual rescan, one can be done from Tools -> Options -> Fat/Folder -> volume -> Rescan.
