Zoom reset button

If user defined buttons are ever implemented in Everything, then please make it possible to apply to them the function available at

View > Zoom > Reset

and also with user pre-chosen values like for example 150% or 75%, for a convenience of usage without a need to press keys on keyboard or navigating in Menu Bar


And if user defineds buttons will not be implemented, then please add buttons with some default values in that bar of menus, where there is a lot of unused horizontal space

I will consider zoom buttons.

For now, please consider creating a zoom bookmark:

• In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add bookmark....
• Set the Name to: Zoom 75%
• Set the Search to: /zoom=75
• (Optionally set a keyboard shortcut)
• Click OK.

• In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add bookmark....
• Set the Name to: Zoom 150%
• Set the Search to: /zoom=150
• (Optionally set a keyboard shortcut)
• Click OK.

You may want to make a toggle:

• In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add bookmark....
• Set the Name to: Toggle Zoom 75%/150%
• Set the Search to: /zoom=zoom==75?150:75
• (Optionally set a keyboard shortcut)
• Click OK.

The longer I use Everything the more in awe I am in how well in terms of future-proof / different ways of usage it has been designed in the first place; and in how helpful the sole creator of it is

Maybe, as a quick update, it would be possible to just add to Menu Bar new "menu" entitled Reset Zoom, which would however have zero entries - and after clicking which the zoom would reset to 100%? Or is this trick impossible to achieve because of how Microsoft have designed menus in Windows?

Currently, Everything doesn't support changing the menu.

Please consider the following bookmark:

• In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add bookmark....
• Set the Name to: Reset Zoom
• Set the Search to: /zoom=
• (Optionally set a keyboard shortcut)
• Click OK.

You can also set a keyboard shortcut under Tools -> Options -> Keyboard -> View | Zoom | Reset.
