In case you are proposing some hardlink counts for hardlinked files , this is also a suggestion.
1.Separate fonts/boldened/colored for such files while they get listed.
2.Right click >>context menu>> List hardlinks . If possible a nested application which sources out the hardlinks and present them alone in a separate Everything window and then allow all the normal file search workings within.
Atleast most of the users' one common grouse about this Great application will be solved.
Hardlinks
Re: Hardlinks
Link Shell Extension (LSE) may be of value.
Re: Hardlinks
I was wondering if I had to search a hardlinked file A1.dll which I know for sure exists in my system , but in the hardlink index order it exists as x1.dll. Unfortunately Everything will draw a blank or suggest it does not exist -for example "My documents". In some of the earlier cases just because the names were identical , and since Everything was not showing the files in the expected path , we knew it was omitted as they were hardlinks.
If in the future Everything is able to put out distinctly the hardlinked files and their count, would it be possible by Everything to generate an EFU file holding all the hardlinked files alone and keep a tab on them by the hardlink count /created date so that it remains up to date. Then the EFU file can be brought into the main search. The first generation of such a EFU file may take time depending on the number of such files.

Re: Hardlinks
One would be found, but not both, unless the work-around mentioned (File Lists) was used.if I had to search a hardlinked file A1.dll which I know for sure exists in my system , but in the hardlink index order it exists as x1.dll
Perhaps: ln ?able to put out distinctly the hardlinked files and their count, would it be possible by Everything to generate an EFU file

Hi,
Would there be any developments on the hardlinks front in the future releases...

Re: Hardlinks
In a future release I would link to read the symbol table directly.
However, the USN Journal support for monitoring hard links is very limited.
I will have to look into this more..
