"Open path with double click in path column" for files only

I like the "Open path with double click in path column" option and I use it a lot, but I find it less useful when the result is a folder. In which case, I always find myself double-clicking anywhere on the row in order to open the folder but I end up accidentally opening its parent folder if I clicked in the path column.

It would be great if you could add a sub-checkbox under the one mentioned above that says something like "Only for files"

I will consider an option to always open folders under the path column.
