1355: Zoom level on statusbar
1355: Zoom level on statusbar
1355: Zoom level on statusbar
what is the purpose, ah, so you can reset it
nonetheless, i don't believe it belongs there, in the statusbar
- (to me at least) irrelevant, & takes up valuable screen real estate
(& do tell me, WHY did i double-click it? !!!)
[oh, i think i just screwed things up... best way to fix... ?
killing it was good enough,
.ini was left in its' preexisting state]

Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
The current zoomlevel will be shown in the statusbar for a couple of seconds *while zooming*.
After zooming, the zoomlevel will no longer be shown on the statusbar.
(not specific to the 1355 version, btw. It used to be like that in older versions too)
Does the zoomlevel stay on the statusbar permanently on your system(s)?

Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
Everything 1.5.0.1355 will now show the zoom level on the right side of the status bar.
The zoom level is not shown if the zoom level is 100%.
To hide the zoom level from the status bar:
-OR-
Set your UI scale and leave your window zoom at 100%:

Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
Found it!
... and disabled it as I routinely middle-click all entries on the right side of the statusbar when I don't get the expected search results (even before starting to think why).

Yes.Does the zoomlevel stay on the statusbar permanently on your system(s)?
Could have sworn I searched for "zoom", but I must have missed it.statusbar_zoom
(I might have looked, quickly at the .ini directly, & missed it?)
Thanks.

Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
If I execute zoom then info about it stays for about 3 seconds. For me it is good [i.e. optimal]void wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:38 am [...]
Everything 1.5.0.1356a removes the zoom text from the status bar.
But why does this info do not go away immediately if I select an item? Everything still waits apparently until this countdown reaches zero despite selecting / changing even more than one item
Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
Currently, changing the result list item focus does not clear the temporary status text.
The temporary status text is always shown for the full 3 second duration.
I will consider clearing the temporary status text when changing the result list item focus.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
Another option is for the zoom status to prefix the normal status text and after three seconds this prefix is removed.
Probably similarly with other temporary statuses.
It/they could still be removed early on changing the result line, but would becomes less critical to do so unless lengthy.

Re: 1355: Zoom level on statusbar
I personally would prefer to be able [as an option] to see it on the left side of the right part of the Status Bar. And to be able to see it constantly if I chose so. And to set the color of this info; preferably in 3 states / versions: zoomed in, normal / 100%, zoomed out [so that at a glance I could see in what state I am]meteorquake wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 11:50 am Another option is for the zoom status to prefix the normal status text and after three seconds this prefix is removed

I will consider an option to show the zoom level (with color support) on the right.
