filter syntax question for space followed by |

This quetion is just trying to understand why this is happening.

I have created this filter:

Name: Index Volume Label
Search: indexvolumelabel:search:
Macro: vlm<search>

Now when I enter these Two the result is the same and OK.

indexvolumelabel:lenovo_c2 |indexvolumelabel:lenovo_d2
indexvolumelabel:lenovo_c2|indexvolumelabel:lenovo_d2

but when use this syntax; if I put space in between the result is OK as above

vlm:lenovo_c2 |vlm:lenovo_d2

But if I remove the space I get a blank list

vlm:lenovo_c2|vlm:lenovo_d2

What happens if you change

Search: indexvolumelabel:search:

to

Search: indexvolumelabel: search:

(adding a <sp> between ...label: & search:)

The next alpha update will avoid eating the | with vlm:

For now, please try:

vlm:lenovo_c2;lenovo_d2
-or-
vlm:<lenovo_c2|lenovo_d2>
-or-
vlm:lenovo_c2 | vlm:lenovo_d2
