Hi all,
I have a windows 11 PC.
Running Everthing 1.5a (1365a))(64)
I am learning how to use the Index>Journal.
It's probably better to give an example and then ask
hows it's working at the end
of my post:
I have a folder called "TESTFOLDER" on H: drive
when I move it to G: drive
Then go to the menu in Everything >Index>Jornal
Then go on the filter Action> Folder Move and look to see what Folders have been
Moved I do NOT see the folder I have just moved.
When I go on the filter Action> Folder Deleted I can see it was deleted
When I go on Action> Folder Created I can see it was created.
I understand that,
So the Action I did was to move the Folder, So why do I not see
it under the filter of "Folder Move" ?
TBF I have only just started looking at this Journal!
Thank You all...
Index>Journal.How the filter works ?
Re: Index>Journal. How the filter works ?
Folders can only be moved on the same volume.
When you move a folder to another volume, the new folder must be created, files copied to the new location and the old folder deleted.
Instead of seeing a Folder Move action, you'll see the Folder Create action and the Folder Delete action.
