ETP/FTP Server connections

Post by nagan »

Hi,
Would it be possible to;-
1.A change in the systray icon when a connection over a NETWORK is established with a ETP/FTP server.

2.You had suggested mulling over providing some sort of bookmark choice for ETP/FTP connections where a user has to choose amongst the list in which the configuration for each has already been saved. Were you to provide for a portable version as a separate instance , can it be made to start with a particular "CONNECT TO ETP SERVER" on. If it finds the system (on frequent polling?) on the network it could automatically establish connection.
Thank You.

I will consider an option to do this, I am also considering an option to show a tray icon for the ETP server and HTTP server if started.

I have implemented the option to save an ETP connection / filelist in bookmarks, I will release this shortly in an updated beta.
There is an ini option auto_connect that will always try to connect to an ETP server instead of loading the local database.
However, if there is no server available Everything will resort to the local database.
I will consider polling for a network connection if none is available.

Thanks for the suggestions.
