Set up each filter's column list independently

Post by atiovalo »

As it is now, for each filter, you can add columns to the already-existing ones, but you cannot remove or rearrange them. I think it would be more flexible if you could set up the columns you want for each filter independently. I guess it's still possible to do it by letting the original ones empty, and then adding the columns you want for each filter, but it would be way easier if you could have a basic list of columns already set up and then add/remove/rearrange them as you wish.

For example, if I want to remove the "Extension" column from my "Folders" filter, it would be way easier to remove it from the "Folders" filter than it is to add it to all other filters I have.

EDIT: I have noticed that that's how Bookmarks' columns work, but the Filters' advantage is that the search text is not visible.

Column sets are on my TODO list.

You can set columns or remove columns with filters with the following search functions:

columns:
remove-columns:

For example, include the following in your filter search:

remove-columns:extension
