Everything doesn't track deleted hard links.
Everything 1.5 will track new hard links.



To force a rebuild:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab on the left.
• Click Force Rebuild.
• Click OK.

To force a rebuild from the command line:

Everything.exe -reindex

Consider creating a scheduled task to call the above every month at 3am.



Everything 1.5 will perform an index update in the background.



Another option is to use folder indexing over NTFS indexing.
Folder indexes are updated daily in the background.
